Manufactured Beauty is officially accepted into Capital Film Art Alliance’s “Frankenfilm Festival!” The indie short premieres at the Sacramento Film & Music Festival in September at The Crest Theatre.

Manufactured Beauty tells the story of two college students struggling with self-acceptance after being publicly belittled. Gabby (played by Millie Jean) and Josue (played by Shiloh Kinney) are desperate for validation and “re-create” their bodies in an attempt to become flawless.

Written by Millie Jean Warren & co-directed by Joshua Caldwell, the dark comedy low-key criticizes modern-day American beauty standards.
